F-18 High AoA Inches Off the Ground… Then This Happened

F-18 high AoA slow flight inches off the ground in DCS World ends in a hangar impact.

This pass looked straight out of a demo team—holding extreme angle of attack just feet above the runway with incredible control. But the escape timing wasn’t there… and it ended in a massive explosion into the hangar.

Moments like this show how precise high AoA flying has to be—one small mistake and it’s over instantly.

  1. DCS flight model is 100% legit 😉
At least seems to me, that engine spool up/down times are much too quick, to balance like that.

  2. You know it would be be cool if you got perfectly straight up and down using one of the vertical takeoff planes I don’t know if they have those in DCS. I’ve never played it, but you got it straight up and down and then put it in vertical takeoff mode and flew vertical straight out. I don’t know if that would work though never tried it once I learned how to play it cause I wanna play it. I’ll try it. Come back and tell you.
